Officers attached to the Southern Division Task Force arrested a 21-year-old labourer and seized two firearms in Marabella on Sunday, November 16th, 2020.
At around 1:45 pm officers responded to a report of a man brandishing a gun. The victim became fearful for his life and made a report. Cpl Bahadur, WPC Torres, and officers of the Southern Division Task Force responded and upon arrival met the victim who identified the suspect.
As the officers approached the suspect, he began running. They gave chase and held him a short distance away.
The officers conducted a search and found in a side bag a Beretta .380 pistol and a .38 Special Revolver with one spent .38 shell. WPC Torres arrested him and is continuing enquiries.
