PM Rowley: No change for in house congregation in Bars

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has said that Bars will continue to be able to sell alcohol but will not be allowed to entertain in-house congregation and customers.

The Prime Minister urged citizens to avoid congregation for Christmas in addition to announcing that the Public sector will not be allowed to have any Christmas parties to avoid congregation.

Food services allowed in Casinos and hunters will be allowed to restart hunting withing hunting season.

Dr Rowley took great pains to outline countries that relaxed restrictions and saw a resurgence of covid 19 infections and deaths.
The PM noted significant booking of guest houses and hotels in Tobago for Christmas but urged the population not to have guest and family visit for Christmas to avoid congregation and transmission of the virus.

Dr Rowley announced that the Ministry of Finance will make 10 million dollars available to bar and restaurant employees who have ether lost jobs or income because of continued restrictions.
Bar owners have been urged to access government business support from the State.
