Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley described the suggestion from Opposition Leader Kamla Persad Bissessar that the National Security Ministry be divided into two as nonsensical and idiotic.
Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad Bissessar, made the recommendation while speaking during the UNC Monday Night Forum.
Mrs Persad Bissessar proposed the Ministry be split into two, with focus placed on Homeland Affairs and Defence.
Speaking at a People’s National Movement (PNM) meeting in Chaguanas last night, the Prime Minister said that the suggestion is useless as such a structure would not work for Trinidad and Tobago.
He said T&T would not benefit from such a plan.
