Upgrade works will begin immediately to the Water and Sewerage Authority’s Picton 2 Reservoirs.
It will include the pressure washing and painting of the iconic tanks, begin immediately and will utilize resources and labour from the surrounding communities.
WASA said plans are also underway for additional upgrades to the reservoirs that will improve the water supply to Upper Gonzales, Upper Quarry Road and Layan Hill, along with other areas in Laventille, Belmont and East Port of Spain.
Minister Gonzales was accompanied by Member of Parliament for Port of Spain South, Keith Scotland, members of the Management team of WASA and the WASA project teams.
