Synoptic Services resumed at Met Office

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Services advises weather observation services at the synoptic branch at Piarco International Airport are back to normal levels.

The operations of the Unit were disrupted for two hours on Friday morning between the hours of 9.a.m and 11.a.m, due to a lack of rostered weather observers.

The Civil Aviation Authority was informed of the situation resulting in a temporary disruption of operations at the airport.

The TTMS advises the situation was rectified by noon Friday.

The Civil Aviation Authority was notified and normal operations resumed at the airport thereafter.
