A few Form One students will have new laptops to use when they begin their virtual classes on Monday morning.

Unicomer (Trinidad) Ltd donated eight more laptops to the top S.E.A Students for 2020.

Clive Fletcher, Managing Director of Unicomer (Trinidad) Ltd, applauded the Ministry of Education for recognizing not just the top three students overall in the S.E.A exam, but also recognizing the top male performer, the top performers at special schools as well as five other students for most improved performance.

Fletcher said, “Once I left the Ministry last week Thursday evening, I made it my business to contact my team to find out what was possible to equally recognize these top achievers. ”

He explained that it was admirable that the Ministry of Education ensured that all students were equally recognized for their efforts. Unicomer (Trinidad) Ltd wanted to ensure that they followed suit and as such, the subsequent presentation occurred to ensure that all students were equally treated to the same benefits as the top three performers.

Education Minister Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, expressed gratitude to the team at Unicomer (Trinidad) Ltd for going the extra mile and providing the additional top performers with laptops.

“The Ministry of Education decided to change the way things were done this year and I am heartened that stakeholders like Unicomer have come on board to support education in this way. I am certain that all the students in receipt of these devices will always remember this day.”

Unicomer (Trinidad) Limited also expresses its thanks to the Ministry of Education for providing a platform to provide to our students who have succeeded in the examination, tools that can propel their learning. We look forward to hearing about their success in the future.
