Paria workers evacuated after minor fire at admin building

Part of the Petrotrin/Paria Administration Building in Pointe-a-Pierre caught on fire this morning.

Thankfully the employees were evacuated in time and no one was injured.

The blaze, said to be minor, reportedly began at around 8:30am and was quickly contained.

All personnel located at the Administration Building were immediately and safely evacuated and relocated to the secondary muster point.

Officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service are currently trying to determine the cause, but preliminary findings state that the fire was located on the ground floor of the building.

No word on the extent of the damage.
