Advocate for the rights of women and children, Diana Mahabir-Wyatt, is suggesting consideration be given by the Education Ministry to introducing parenting training in the school system.
The former Independent Senator made the proposal while speaking with Izzso Media.
Mrs Mahabir-Wyatt cited the introduction of the parenting training in Sweden and the positive impact made in that country.
Mrs Mahabir-Wyatt said she is in support of women being allowed to carry pepper spray by is suggesting that they be train in it proper usage, should it come into law.
She also had some words of support for women and referred to challenges in the criminal justice system as it pertains to bail.
