One opposition MP is urging the government to pump resources into the police service instead of politicising the Evidence Amendment Bill.
Princes Town MP Barry Padarath notes that the Law Association, like the UNC, disagrees that the bill will solve the current perceived gaps in the administration of justice.
At a candle light vigil in Manahambre on Monday night Padarath commended citizens for coming together to stand up for a cause.
He also took aim at the Attorney General for what he said were insensitive comments about the real life tragic experiences faced by members of the public daily.
