Overhaul Of Fast Ferry Shore-Based Ramps To Commence Next Week

The repairs of the shore-based ramp in Scarborough, Tobago is now scheduled to be undertaken during the period February 28TH to March 6TH, 2023 – a period of seven days.

This is revealed in a media release issued by the Management of Trinidad and Tobago Inter-Island Transportation Company Limited Friday.

It is being under taken by the Canadian based company – Maritime Hydraulics.

The release said these critical works are in keeping with the Manufacturer’s advice and are scheduled to ensure the safety and reliability of the ramps.

During the period of these works, the Galleons Passage, the Buccoo Reef and the M.V. Cabo Star will service the inter-island seabridge.

The public is hereby advised the A.P.T. James will not be able to sail as the Scarborough shore-based ramp will be inoperable during the works.

In the circumstances, the Galleons Passage will carry passengers and vehicles, the Buccoo Reef will transport passengers only and the M.V. Cabo Star will transport any additional vehicles.
