Member of Parliament for Oropouche West, Davendranath Tancoo, in the Parliament today, raised a motion calling on the Government to cease and desist from its current policy direction
MP Tancoo said the private motion, “Condemn the government for its neglect of the economy” was born out of a sense of frustration with the current state of the nation and the growing conviction and concern of the national community, that current administration is unresponsive to the cries of the people because they simply do not care about the needs of the population, and seems to favor a select few at the expense of the many.
The Opposition MP said policies, manifested in the statements and actions of Government Ministers and their agents, and in the expenditure and use of resources has over the last six years driven this country into a state of economic, financial, social and psychological depression.
