There are reports of many being turned away at the Siparia District Health Facility today as persons tried to get the COVID-19 vaccination on day two of the walk in roll out programme.
This update comes from Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad Bissessar.
In a media release, the MP for Siparia said at no time did the Minister of Health indicate only fifty jabs would be available.
The Opposition Leader said it is illogical and downright foolish to allocate 50 vaccines per health centre thereby vaccinating a mere 1800 elderly people a day.
The Siparia MP said a proper plan can be implemented with the assistance of the Opposition and stakeholders to have mass
vaccinations in a shorter time frame.
