No water for South West Trinidad on Friday

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has advised that persons in parts of South West Trinidad will see a disruption in their pipe borne water supply between 8am and 8pm tomorrow, Friday April 23rd 2021.

WASA says this is necessary in order to carry out planned electrical maintenance work at the Savonetta Booster Station.

Areas to be affected include: Plaisance Park, Marabella, San Fernando, Pleasantville, Cocoyea, Green Acres, Union Hall, Duncan Village, Palmiste, Sunkist, Esperance, Debe, Gulf View, Bel Air, La Romaine, Woodland, San Francique, Avocat, South Oropouche, Rousillac, Aripero, La Brea, Penal, Siparia and Quarry Village.

Once repairs are completed, WASA says it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas.

It adds that a limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request.
