ANDERSON HILL is due to appear at the Princes Town Magistrates’ Court today, after he was charged with murder on Sunday 20th June, 2021.
Consultations were held with Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Mrs Joan Honore-Paul, who advised police to charge the 25-year-old labourer from La Lune Village, Moruga with murder.
On Tuesday 8th June, 2021, a group of Venezuelans were at a beach along the La Lune coastline in Moruga, when they were accosted by a group of men.
The assailants allegedly robbed the group of a quantity of cash, jewelry and cell phones. During the incident, one of the assailants allegedly shot and killed 33-year-old JESUS ALEXANDER, of Boodoo Trace, Debe.
A report was made to the police, and a team of detectives, under the directives of Inspector (Ag.) Anil Maharaj conducted investigations into the murder. Investigations led to the arrest of the accused on Wednesday 16th June 2021.
The investigation was spearheaded by Supt (Ag.) Sean Dhillpaul.
