MoE and MoH to discuss reopening of schools for SEA students

The subject of the re-opening of schools for senior primary school students preparing to sit the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) exam, will be on the table for discussion today, when officials of the Ministry of Education meet with its counterparts in the Ministry of Health.

Education Minister Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly said they will discuss the issue of the return of primary school students and recommendations will be made which will then be discussed at the level of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet.

The standard five students are expected to return to schools on April 12.

However, there has been a significant increase in Covid19 cases with the active cases moving from under 100 cases in March to 385 up to Sunday.
