Miss Trans Star T&T calls home a third world country; claims she receives death threats

Tiffany Coleman from Nicaragua was crowned Miss Trans Star International 2022 in a grand coronation night held in the coastal town of Santa Susanna in Catalonia, Spain, on 12 March.

Miss Mexico Ivana Diaz was announced as first runner-up, while Miss Venezuela Sofia Colmenarez was second runner-up in one of the most prestigious international beauty contests for transgender women.

28 countries competed against each other for the crown.

However Miss Trans Star International T&T expressed her dissatisfaction with the online feed back and support she received from her home country.

Giselle Devereaux-Iman who advanced to the top 16 during coronation night said “I come from the twin island of Trinidad and Tobago, which is a third world country.

Devereaux-Iman said she receives death threats and hate mail from persons in T&T and that citizens are not happy with her being in the competition.
