The Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago is on a campaign to support local producers who have met quality standards and there is sustainability of their products.
This is one of the points highlighted by President of the Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago, Rajiv Diptee.
Mr Diptee made the comment while being interviewed on Power 102’s Digital Power Breakfast Programme on Monday.
Mr Diptee said he has interacted with some local producers and is impressed with their innovation and creativity.
He said other members of the association have been encouraged to rally behind the venture.
Mr Diptee said the Covid-19 pandemic has brought out the entrepreneurial ability of many citizens and he is delighted by this.
