A call is being made to the Minister of Finance and the Government to remove all interest charges on Agriculture Development Bank loans taken by farmers and fishermen.
The government is also being urged to offer a similar moratorium on principal payments to these agro-entrepreneurs.
Opposition Member of Parliament for Couva North, Ravi Ratiram, made the appeal in a media release sent to our newsroom on Monday afternoon.
MP Ratiram said there is need for victimisation of farmers and fishermen to stop.
