Unsubstantiated, this is how the Ministry of Health describes allegations made by the Sunshine newspaper, in an article that appeared this week with claims made by an unnamed individual.
The Ministry said despite this, Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, launched an investigation into the claims and it was found that all allegations outlined in the article were unsubstantiated.
In a media release the Ministry of Health refuted the claims outlined within the article and reminded the newspaper that accuracy should be a hallmark of good journalism.
The Ministry said it will continue to effect its mandate to establish national priorities for the health sector that enables an environment for the delivery of quality healthcare to the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.
