T&TEC Meets Siparia Residents On Proposed Power Tower

Three meetings were held with resident of Siparia Old Road and Ackbar Trace concerning the proposed location of power transmission towers in the vicinity of Siparia.

Those meetings were held with the villagers in Fyzabad on June  17^th, July 6^th and July  20^th last year.

Minister of Public Utilities, Marvin Gonsalves, informed the parliament that arising out of these meetings, the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission to review the engineering designs and made adjustments to the approved tower line route where feasible.

Minister Gonsalves said this was done to minimise the impact on existing structures and residents.
