Is acting Police Commissioner Erla Christopher set to become the next Commissioner of Police of this country?
Well, according to the rumours heard by UNC Senator Wade Mark, she is.
During UNC’s Sunday press briefing, Mark called on Christopher, saying, “It has been rumoured and I want clarification from you, that the Government has given you an undertaking as acting Commissioner of Police to make you Commissioner of Police– and you have been given the keys to the residence of the Commissioner of Police.”
Christopher has been acting CoP since December 8, while acting CoP McDonald Jacob is on 35 days’ vacation. Jacob returns to work later this week.
Mark also claimed, via the alleged rumours, that in order for Christopher to secure said top Cop post, she must ‘find something on (ex CoP) Gary Griffith and arrest ‘im.’ That is what is being rumoured.”
