The decomposing body of a man was found in Arouca on Sunday afternoon and police suspect it may be that of a man reported missing weeks ago.
Around 2:45pm, officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II were following up on enquiries in a bushy area off Palm Drive, Windy Hill, Arouca, when they noticed fresh soil, covered with a wooden board near a wooden house.
Undertakers from a funeral home were called in to dig beneath the fresh soil and they found the decomposing body of a man.
The body appeared to be wrapped in cloth, wearing a black t-shirt with a tattoo on the chest was found.
The man’s feet were tied.
Investigations are ongoing.
