A 27-year-old man was murdered in Arouca last night.
Kerdel Peters was with a group of people on Back Street, Arouca, around 7.45 pm when a car drove up to them.
Several gunmen got out of the car and shot at the group hitting Peters several times.
Peters ran to his Hyundai Tucson car and tried driving to the hospital but was unable to make it.
He was rushed to the Arima Hospital where he was declared dead shortly after 8:00 PM.
Investigators said Peters was shot in his neck, chest, abdomen and three times in his foot.
A wrecker towed Peters’ car which was left abandoned to the Special Evidence Recovery Unit (SERU) headquarters in Cumuto where further analysis will be done.
Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II are continuing enquiries.
