Government Has No Plans Of Approaching The IMF For Assistance, Says Minister Manning

The government is not planning to go to the International Monetary Fund for financial help.

This position was made clear by Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Brian Manning.

Minister Manning made the revelation while being interviewed on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102 Digital, Wednesday.

Mr Manning cited some Caribbean countries, among them Barbados, which decided to reduce its work force and have gone to the IMF for funding.

Responding to concerns about the cost of living locally, Minister Manning remains positive in terms of how government has been managing the country’s affairs.
