A Mayaro father awoke to find a 21-year-old man engaged in sexual acts with his daughter in her bedroom.
Reports indicate that a neighbour called the father to inform him that someone was seen climbing his balcony. Who he thought was a bandit, turned out to be Rafeeq Haniff, half naked, having sex with his daughter. He prevented Haniff from leaving and instead called the Mayaro Police. His daughter is reported to have met Haniff on Whats App late last year. Haniff is said to have visited the girl’s bedroom twice before where they conducted sexual affairs.
Haniff was charged with one count of sexual penetration, one count of sexual grooming and two counts of sexual touching.
