T&T’s Soca Ambassador, Machel Montano and entertainment producer/promoter, JayUpScale and ‘Team One Show’ issued an apology to fans and feters who were at One Show, The Meeting Place.
Machel’s 40 year musical anniversary concert was celebrated on Fantastic Friday at the Hasley Crawford Stadium, Port-of-Spain, Friday 17th February – while this isn’t Montano’s first big concert in T&T it’s the first to be held on Carnival Friday and one where a number of issues plagued the event.
Patrons at The Meeting Place vented on the gates being opened later than advertised, there were also complaints about the poor audio from the sound system inside the venue.
Montano posted an apology via his Instagram page this afternoon giving an explanation into what caused the technical problems – one being the use of the stadium not being able to hold the amount of persons at the event and the other being its current construction phase under SporTT
