Long Period Swell To Affect Northern & Eastern Coastal Areas At The Weekend

A Hazardous Seas Alert – yellow level – has been issued by the Met Office.

It takes effect from March 12^th, 2023 to March 14^th, 2023 at 8pm.

Northerly long period swells are expected to affect the Northern and Eastern exposed coastal areas of Tobago as well as the Northern, Eastern and, to a lesser extent, Western coastal areas of Trinidad.

These conditions are expected to persist until March 14^TH 2023.

These swells can result in battering waves at coastal regions and can be exacerbated during high tides.
