The body of 9-year-old Majeed Rashada, who was swept away while visiting the Aripo River with family has been found.
Rashada went to the river with relatives when he was swept away by currents around 11:45 am on Saturday
The boy’s relatives made a report at the Cumuto Police Station.
Officers of the Santa Cruz Cute Station Land, Search and Rescue team together with the police Air Support Unit and volunteers from the Hunters Search and Rescue were called in and searched several areas along the river up to 7:30 Saturday night.
Volunteers and police found Majeed’s body along the river sometime around 8 am.
