Commenting on this development UNC member Dr Fuad Khan says the announcement by the President that 100 Defence Force reserve officers have been called out to lend support to the police during the pre-Christmas season to 2024 Carnival is a joke.
He told News Power Now this morning that calling in reserves will have absolutely no effect on crime.
He stated that crime talks scheduled to take place between the Government and the Opposition will be nothing but talk.
He insisted that much more needs to be done to tackle violent crime in Trinidad and Tobago,
