A man was shot in the face during an attempted robbery in Trou Macaque Road, Laventille on Thursday 15th February, 2024.
Around 8:00pm, the victim was reportedly washing his vehicle, when he was confronted by a man who was armed with a gun.
The suspect announced a robbery, during which the victim resisted which resulted in him being shot in the face.
The suspect then fled the scene and the injured man raised an alarm.
Relatives at the home notified the police and emergency health services who arrived at the scene and took the victim to the Port of Spain General Hospital where he was treated.
Investigations are ongoing.
