Tobago Linesman Charged With Assault By Beating.

A 37- year-old Linesman from Mt Thomas, Tobago was granted bail in the sum of thirty thousand dollars or a cash alternative of three thousand dollars, when he appeared before Magistrate Joanne Connor, at the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court Wednesday.

AKINI QUASHIE, was charged with Assault by beating and was ordered to stay one feet away from the victim and not to communicate with her.

The Linesman of Main Road, Mt. Thomas, was held, after a woman made a report to the Scarborough Police Station on August 12th this year.

The reported stated that on August 12th 2021 Quashie held onto a woman and attempted to choke her.

WPC KERR of the Special Victims Department., Tobago conducted an investigation into the matter which resulted in the arrest and subsequent charge of the linesman on Wednesday.

The accused is expected to appear at the Tobago Magistrates’ Court on November 17th this year to answer the charge.
