Central Division police are currently investigating a shooting in Carapichaima on Tuesday morning, which left a 23-year-old labourer wounded.
Darruiz McDonald reported to police that he was standing on Mungal Trace off Orange Field Road in Carapichaima near his home at around 12.30 am on Tuesday, when a gunman approached him and fired two shots.
McDonald was hit on his right hand and left leg and the shooter ran off along Mungal Trace.
He was taken to the Chaguanas health facility and later transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope, where he is said to be warded in a stable condition.
