Kanye West faces lawsuit over outrageous demands for Malibu home construction

The rapper formerly known as Kanye West is facing a lawsuit from a “project manager” who claims the artist fired him without properly compensating for work done on his Malibu home.

As TMZ reports, Ye is being sued by a man named Tony Saxon, who claims he began working for the hip-hop star in September 2021 as “project manager, caretaker, and 24/7 security for the mogul’s Malibu property,” the outlet writes.

According to the court documents obtained by The Blast, Saxon is suing Ye over disagreements they had about removing all the home’s windows and electricity, a labor code violation.

Saxon also alleges that he was working 16-hour days and sleeping on the floor. He claims Kanye ignored all of his concerns and only paid him for one week of work.

Saxon said he “expressed concerns about the extreme danger” of removing all the windows and electricity from the home but he claims Kanye “insisted on moving large generators inside the house, which Saxon worried would potentially lead to a fire hazard,” TMZ writes.

In the suit, Saxon alleges Kanye threatened him, called him “an enemy” and told him to “get the hell out” for refusing to comply with his outrageous demands.

According to Saxon, Ye told him, “If you don’t do what I say, you’re not going to work for me, I’m not gonna be your friend anymore and you’ll just see me on TV.”

When Saxon told Ye that he didn’t watch TV, he was fired on the spot.

Saxon is suing for various labor code violations, unpaid wages, plus damages.
