Mayaro Man, 23, Denied Bail on Stolen Vehicle Charge

A 23-year-old Mayaro man is denied bail Tuesday on  a stolen vehicle charge.

RONALDO OROSCO, a fruit vendor, of Eccles Road West, Grand Lagoon Village, Mayaro, who pleaded not guilty to the offence of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle when he appeared virtually before the Mayaro Magistrate’s Court.

OROSCO will reappear before the court on October 10th, 2023, to answer the charge.

He was arrested and charged on September 25th by PC Samuel of the Sangre Grande Criminal Investigations Department who led investigations into a September 14th police report of a Robbery with Aggravation in which a blue Mazda 3 was stolen from its owner in the Sangre Grande District.

The motor vehicle was later recovered on September 16th in the Mayaro district by a team of police officers attached to the Emergency Response Patrol, Rio Claro CID and Task Force, respectively.

With further assistance from the Eastern Division Gang and Intelligence Unit, police subsequently secured a search warrant which was executed at the Eccles Road West, Grand Lagoon Village, Mayaro home of the suspect where they allegedly found the key for the motor vehicle.

The man was later arrested and charged with the offence.
