Guyana President, Dr Irfaan Ali, says he plans to name an international team to conduct a Commission of Inquiry into the March 2020 General and Regional Elections.
In 2020 President Ali first made the commitment.
It took place during the President’s inauguration address.
It came following the five-month wait on the final election results.
Recently President Ali announced the Commission of Inquiry into the elections will still take place.
President Ali said the Commission of Inquiry will bring the matter to some finality.
There is an election petition before the Courts.
Former senior election officials are facing charges of alleged fraud.
