An inquest has been ordered into the death of 24-year-old Shaddai Simon, aka ‘Tallo’, of Waterhole, Cocorite, which occurred on Thursday 24th June, 2021.
The instruction came from Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Roger Gaspard SC, on Wednesday 30th June, 2021.
Around 11 pm, on Wednesday 23rd June, 2021, Simon was at his home when he got into a heated altercation with his girlfriend. During the incident, Simon physically attacked the woman. She then allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed him.
Simon ran out the house and was taken to the St. James Medical Complex, where he died around 2:56 am on Thursday 24th June, 2021.
The suspect, who was arrested by officers on that same date, was released from custody today.
