India Wins First T20 Match Against West Indies By 68 Runs At Brian Lara Cricket Academy

India won the first T20 one day match against West Indies by 68 runs.

The match was played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba.

Set 192 to win, Shamarh Brooks, top scored for the regional side with 20 runs, as the Caribbean team reached 122 for 8 from the allotted 20 overs.

Bowling for India, Arshdeep Singh had 2 wickets for 24 runs from 4 overs.

Ravichandran Ashwin picked up 2 for 22 from 4 overs and Ravi Bishnvi got 2 for 26.

Earlier, India scored 191 runs from 6 overs from 20 overs.

Captain Rohit Sharma led the way with 64 runs from 44 balls, hitting seven fours and two sixes.

Alzarri Joseph had two wickets for 46 runs from 4 overs.

The second T20 match will be played on Sunday in Basseterre.
