The Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT) says information has been sent to the T&T Coast Guard in the hopes that it will help with the identification of a body found in Venezuelan territory recently.
In a post on Facebook, the group says it obtained a photo of a missing fisherman wearing a jersey similar to the one found on the corpse found in Perdernales sometime ago.
The jersey is said to belong to one of five fishermen who have been missing since February 24th 2024.
The missing men have been named as David Seepaul, Devanand Seepaul, Gonzalez Ali, Shiva Rampersad, and Jeremiah Pasqual.
The HSRT adds that it will continue to work closely with all stakeholders, including the families involved.
