Your $200 cinema dating dreams have just been crushed – this as MovieTowne intends to increase prices from Thursday 18th May, 2023.
Via a Facebook post made today, Movie Towne announced that ticket prices will no longer cost the regular $50.
Admission for adults in Port-of-Spain and San Fernando for 2D movies will cost $60 and 3D movies will now be $70.
And tickets for children will cost $50, while Seniors are now priced at $40.
However prices in Tobago will also see a $10 increase – $50 for adults and $40 for children for 2D, and $60 and $50 respectively for 3D.
The price announcement by the cinema chain read, “you know that we will be increasing our ticket prices starting Thursday 18th of May 2023.”
“We know this isn’t the news you wanted to hear, but we are committed to providing you with the best movie-going experience possible. Thanks for your understanding and we hope to see you soon!”
Movies Towne cited the pandemic and expenses incurred during the country’s lockdown measures.
