On Friday the newest addition to the inter-island fleet of passenger ferries, the Buccoo Reef, is scheduled to commence commercial sailings on the inter-island sea-bridge.
Confirmation of this comes from the management of the Trinidad and Tobago Inter-island Transportation Company.
TTITC says the Buccoo Reef will replace the T&T Spirit which is scheduled to proceed on statutory dry-docking at Caribbean Dockyard, Chaguaramas, on Saturday.
The Buccoo Reef can accommodate 1,000 passengers (including crew) and 182 cars.
However, as a result of Government’s regulations, effective April 30th 2021, the passenger capacity on all inter-island ferries was reduced to twenty-five percent.
