Heat in the House today, as No-Confidence motion against Young to be debated

“The People versus Stuart Young.”

That’s how the United National Congress has labelled its action in Parliament today, as the debate on their No-Confidence motion against Young starts this morning at 10am.

Opposition MP Dave Tancoo said all members of the party will have something to say as “every instance in which Young has placed T&T’s security and reputation at risk will be detailed.”

The UNC has questioned Young’s position as the sole authority to issue exemptions, adding that he has been a part of “one disaster after another” from his poor handling of the migrant policy issues to the rapid deterioration of national border security

The Opposition hopes Government MPs will undertake a conscience vote, particularly since the UNC has 19 MPs and PNM has 22 MPs.
