Guapo/Cap-de-Ville residents benefiting from an improved water supply

Approximately 10,000 residents within the Guapo/Cap-de-Ville area are now benefiting from an improved water supply.

This project was implemented by the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) and involved the installation of 4268 meters of pipeline along the Guapo/ Cap-de-Ville Main Rd. Residents will now be provided with a 24/7 supply of water.

Marvin Gonzales, Minister of Public Utiltiies, also announced at the Commissioning Ceremony on Saturday, 9th December 2023, that there are other projects that have already been carried out in surrounding communities.

One of these projects under the Community Water Improvement Programme (CWIP) will result in an improved water supply to fifteen hundred (1,500) residents from Salazar Trace , Felicity Road, TPV Road and Recreation Road.

Present also at this ceremony were: the Honourable Kennedy Richards, Member of Parliament for Portin Fortín; His Worship, Clyde James, Mayor of Point Fortín; Members of the Board of Commissioners of the Water and Sewerage Authority; other officials from the Ministry of Public Utilities andWater and Sewerage Authority and residents within the area.
