Freeport police recover stolen vehicle in hours

Freeport Police recovered a stolen vehicle within hours after it was taken away from a driver in the Marabella district last night.

At 8.30 pm, a party of officers attached to the Freeport Police Station were on a mobile patrol when they received information about a stolen silver Grand Vitara motor vehicle which was reportedly taken away from a driver earlier in the Marabella district.

The officers proceeded to the Carapichaima Community Centre carpark where they found the vehicle abandoned. The vehicle was at the time bearing false identification plates.
Crime Scene Investigators are currently processing the vehicle to assist investigators with their enquiries.
