A female pupil was stabbed during an altercation at the El Dorado West Secondary School on Thursday.
Reports state that the teen was embroiled in a fight involving several students, when one of her female schoolmates, who was armed with a knife, stabbed her.
The incident happened during the lunch break and the victim was stabbed in her leg.
She was subsequently taken to the Mt. Hope Hospital for medical treatment and the police were contacted.
An investigation has since been launched and parents told to encourage children who attend the school to give vital information to investigators and/or the school’s principal.
