Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Franklin Khan says the Government is satisfied that all is being done by Venezuela to ensure safety as it pertains to the FSO Nabarima in the Gulf of Paria.
He says after a series of high-level discussions with Venezuela, a team from Trinidad and Tobago was allowed to board the vessel to validate reports from that country on what was being done to ensure the safety of the vessel.
He told Power 102’s Power Breakfast Show on Friday morning that the vessel is in tact, and any environmental risk is minimal.
He said that the vessel is currently being offloaded.
