A man was brutally murdered during a home invasion in Chaguanas last night.
The victim has been identified as Stephen Sookhan aka “Steve” of Oasis Gardens in Endeavour, Chaguanas.
Reports state that Sookhan’s body was discovered by his neighbour who is a police officer.
The officer said he was alerted by his wife around 11.05 p.m, that there was someone on the premises of their neighbour’s home.
The officer went over and found the front door open, and Sookhan dead in the bedroom.
Sookhan’s feet were tied with electrical tape and his throat slit.
The officer searched the area and found a Venezuelan national hiding under a tree in the yard.
The suspect was arrested.
Investigations are ongoing.
