Master artist, poet, Orisha Leader and national icon, Dr LeRoy Clarke received a visit from the Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Randall Mitchell at his Cascade home, museum and art gallery.
Dr Clarke celebrated his 82nd birthday on Saturday, 7 November 2020 and was visited by the Minister Mitchell on Wednesday November 11.
Minister Mitchell thanked the master artist for his invaluable contribution to Trinidad and Tobago’s rich cultural and artistic landscape.
“Dr Clarke or the Chief as he’s fondly known, is considered one of this country’s finest contemporary artists.
He continues to paint and hopes to have a major show very soon at the National Museum.”
