Do Not Interfere With The Nation’s Infrastructure, Warns Works And Transport Minister

As a result of vandalism and theft the government will have to spend more money to replace damaged or stolen infrastructure.

Recently it was revealed a flap gate, valued at 200,000 dollars, was stolen from the Sea Lots Pump House at Abattoir Road, Port of Spain.

Speaking during the Budget Debate in the Senate on Thursday, Minister of Works and Transport, Rohan Sinanan, said the development is having a negative impact on the country and citizens.

Minister Sinanan said the unlawful actions result in a significant amount of money being spent in a bid to correct the situation.
