Diego Martin-Westmoorings Interchange Opened

The Diego Martin-Westmoorings Interchange cost tax payers over 185 million dollars.

It was officially commissioned today.

Chairman of the National Infrastructure Development Company, Herbert George, said the project was a designed build contract originally intended for 18 months from August 2020.

However, it was affected by delays.

Two contractors were involved in the venture.

They are China Railway Construction and Junior Sammy Contractors Limited.

Minister of Works and Transport, Rohan Sinanan, said the ministry’s mandate is not just about mega projects but also to maintain connectivity around the Trinidad and Tobago.
