Diddy reality show scrapped by Hulu following sexual assault allegations

Diddy’s reputation has plummeted a great deal over the past few weeks after being accused of sexual assault by four separate parties, one after the other — with that, his business ventures are also taking a hit.

On Wednesday (December 13), Variety reported that Hulu has now severed ties with the Bay Boy Records mogul after previously working with him on a reality television series. Diddy+7, which was still in its preliminary stages, was set to follow the central figure’s family life.

After securing a production deal with James Corden’s company, Fulwell 73, the project has now been scrapped completely.

The 54-year-old businessman has reportedly lost out on numerous such partnerships since the allegations began piling up. In total, 18 companies have parted ways with his e-commerce site, Empower Global.

Per a report by Rolling Stone, numerous partners have cited Diddy’s legal troubles as the reason for withdrawing from the venture. Annette Njau, who is the founder of handbag brand House of Takura, cited Cassie’s initial lawsuit against Puff for the deal falling apart.

“This decision was made on the day that Casandra Ventura filed her lawsuit,” she said. “We take the allegations against Mr. Combs very seriously and find such behavior abhorrent and intolerable. We believe in victims’ rights, and support victims in speaking their truth, even against the most powerful of people.”

Lenard Grier of No One Clothiers, added: “While this decision was difficult due [to] the reverence we once held for Mr. Combs as a leader in business and entertainment, it was clearly the correct choice.”

Ashli Goudelock, owner of skincare brand Tsuri, also said she was looking to exit her partnership with Diddy: “As a women-owned and-led company, we do not and will not linger in a gray area about the mistreatment of women.”

Diddy has yet to comment on the report, but has repeatedly denied any allegations of criminal wrongdoing and all claims of sexual assault.

Last week, he issued a statement on social media about the lawsuits, writing: “Enough is enough. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday.

“Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

In the wake of the allegations, the mogul also stepped down from his position of chairman at Revolt, the TV network he founded in 2012.
